Is it Wrong !

Yes it is!

It absolutely is!

It definitely is!

To expect of brighter day after a dark night

To expect happiness after sad happenings

To expect win after a lot of struggles

To expect appreciation after hardwork

To expect all this is wrong

Since one should not expect!!

Expecting is wrong!

Do your karma and forget the result!

This what is expected from you!

This is what you should do

And this is what is not wrong!

Break - Up !

“Okay”

And he tried taking his eyes off from it.

“Hmm”, he sighed again.

“I know It’s been long and we can’t take our relationship further like this.”.

“I know it’s bad to be bad like this”

“But I am sorry”, he made sad face.

“I really am I can’t help it anymore”.

“It’s time that we part our ways now”.

“I am not afraid of the consequences but it’s high time now!”

And he took the glass of milk and emptied it in the sink.

“Mom I am not going to drink milk from now onwards”, and he left for school.

Life – Way it Happens !

“Last night mosquitoes didn’t let me sleep”, she complained to Sarika in he morning.

She laughed,”Good Morning. Iknew power failures will happen that’s why I had got mosquito coils for such times only”.

“How can one be so careful yaar!” Smriti exclaimed.

Sarika smiled and said,”Life”.

“Hmm”, and lines of worry were clearly visible on her forehead.

She took her phone and left the room.

“Hello, Papa”, she said.

“Yes beta, what happened? Is everything okay?’.

“Yes Papa, I just wanted to ask one thing”, she said.

“Go ahead”, he replied.

“I am filling my passport form, so what should I write in the column which says notable mark/scar on body?”.

Question was straight but answer was not.

“Hmm, is there anything you can write?”, came the reply after a pause.

“No Papa, I couldn’t find one”.

“No injuries no scars during childhood fights or never got hurt while playing?”

“I never had time for that Dad, since I was always looking after my sister or helping mother in house chores. So question of going out to play and get hurt is totally out of scene!”, she thought in her mind.

“No. Though I have a mole on my lips. I guess I can mention that!”, she replied.

“Hmm, go ahead with that”.

She came back to her friend and asked her to fill up that in the form.

“But how is it possible that you never got hurt ever till now!”, her friend asked!

Sarika smiled and said,”Life”.

What scares you off !

What is it that scares you off.

Scares you off from asking the question.

Asking the question about life and things.

Life and things that matter to you.

That matter to you shall make up your destiny.

And your destiny is in the controls of your hands and no one else’s.

No one else will be there tomorrow.

Tomorrow to make up for your mistakes.

Your mistakes shall haunt you forever.

Forever, that is you would have asked that question

The question which you wanted to ask then

Then maybe you would have been happy

Happy and not scared

So what scares you off!

Note: This is End of Beginning type of poetry. The end of one sentence becomes the beginning of the next sentence.

Silently he watches

She comes in the bus and sits in the front her.
Wearing sky blue suit with white dupatta she looks adorable.
And silently he watches.

He saw her in office, with colleagues in cafeteria.
Laughing her way out in the crowd, she looks pretty.
And silently he watches.

She changed her display picture on office communicator.
Looks beautiful than before in the latest one.
And silently he watches.

She comes in the evening time in the his bus.
Sits in the second row and is listening to music. Tired she is but keeps smiling.
And silently he watches.

Acceptance.

They met.
Something was not right.
He read it in her movements from across the street.
It was bit dark to figure things out clearly but yes, something was not right!
She had just got down from the car or was pushed forcibly; he was still confused on that.
But who would throw away such a pretty girl? What would have gone wrong?

Before he could cross the road and get things cleared she was picked up by another car! She was picked or was she dragged into the car. Darkness of the night masked the events.

(Flashback)
They were together in high school and since then he had a huge crush on her but never had the courage to confront her with his feelings for her. After school, she left town to attend a prestigious college in the city being a bright student. He never loved anyone else after her.

Here he was. Standing in the middle of the road, confused about the recent happenings and eager to know whether everything was okay with Anusha or not.

Should I follow her? He gave it a long thought and then finally ignited the engine and moved his car around to catch hold of the other car carrying her.

He could see the back lights at far and the car seemed to be in great rush. He pushed the accelerator as hard as he can to get near the car and ensure her wellness but it was of no use. The other car was really in great rush. And then, after driving for some half an hour, the other car stopped and Anusha was thrown out.

Yes, she was thrown out with her clothes torn and hair all messed up. She was raped.
He got shock of a life! Girl he loved the most was raped! All the good memories of her flashed in-front of her and then he got out from his car.

She was trying to cover herself up with the leftover torn pieces of her dresses.
Like a gentleman, he walked up to her. Cover her body with his coat and hugged her, trying to calm her down. Her tears kept rolling down her cheeks. They got into his car. She was in no position to talk and neither was he.
They were in his car now and he was driving while she kept staring blankly outside the window. When the car stopped that’s when she noticed that he had brought her to his home. She was still in a state of shock when he went to reach out for her door and brought her inside his house.
“Who is she? What happened Dhruv? Answer me. Where were you? We are all so worried when you didn’t answer your phone”, her mother stumped a series of questions on him on seeing him with her.

“She’s your daughter-in-law mom”, saying so he took her to his room.
