Conversations that never complete...Conversation you wish were complete !

‘Let’s play a game’
‘What game’
‘Game to pass time while we walk back home’
‘What you have in mind’
‘What is it that you like in a guy’
‘Like as in what, what do you mean’
‘Like as in what is it that you notice when you first see the guy’
‘Umm…’ It's ... she thought in her mind

“Tired ..?”
“Never..”, he said opening his shut eyes wide open.
“Okay. I can see that”, she caught him yawning with his mouth wide open.
A word or two and he was teased again.
“I am Audi of men”, finally he announced.
Boasting is something he never gets tired of.
"Are you", she wasn't surprised but this is not how she looks at him.
"Hell Yeah. Most fit and smart guy amongst all."
"Hmm...", That's true but .. she thought in her mind.

From Beginning...Till End - The Chat II

Part II

I am ********

How did you get my number? (she had just got a new one and it wasn’t updated anywhere for anyone to find out)

I tried a lot to forget you but just couldn’t do and to see you in suit is something that made it more tough to forget you.
I really like you
And I am leaving the company. Today is my last working day here so I thought of messaging you
everything before I go. I am D******* from Noi**

It’s really weird to talk like this. I know it’s weird for you too but there really was no other way to talk to you now that I am leaving. Another reason is that I never had the courage to talk to you upfront also.

Hmm…but tell me how did you get my number?

Via office communicator
But is it wrong to tell somebody their feeling especially when they are going away too far from that person

How did you get my name?

No it’s not wrong but the way you are handling it is wrong. Being honest is the most important thing.
One day in office when you were in cafeteria, your friend called you by your name and I was around following you as usual. There I got your name.
And why is it wrong. I like you from a year now and yes I am honest.

1 year, OMG, I don’t believe it.

Yeah, 1 year but I did not say anything. Had no courage to do so.

Okay

I knew you would take this all in the wrong way. But I like you so told everything.

No, I am not taking it in wrong way but if somebody is approaching like this so I don’t know!
Tell me who you are and how you know me. That’s all I wanna know

I told you the truth. I did a mistake by telling you all this.

No it’s not like that

Hmm..When I had the courage I did what I wanted to do. Don’t take me otherwise but I really like you and this can never go anywhere so this has to end here.Bye take care. Will never disturb you ever now.

The end

"I am getting married"
She was listening.
"I met this girl and then I thought I am too tired to meet someone else after this. She is nice so why not settle down with her", he was excited.
She was listening.
"I want you to come to my wedding so plan your trip accordingly", he ordered.
And tears came rolling down her cheek.

She was his childhood crush.
She was his teenage crush.
She was and always been his crush.
They had been in different cities. He had dated many girls while she chose to date none.
Personal choice.
Choice for life.
They had never been secretive with each other.
A bond they shared without being in a relationship.
She knew she can trust him and he knew she can be relied on.

"Yeah, I will try", words were pushed out from her mouth.
"***** I want you to come"
"Yeah, send me a picture", she urged.
"I am going to take her for a night-out today. Have planned it to give her a surprise for I have been too busy for her this whole week due to office. And I will open a bottle of red wine with her, only for you"
"Yeah..enjoy. Okay I gotta go"
It was her birthday.
The day she lost him.

----------------------------------------------------

"Get down from your side and don't lock the door. I will get down from your side only"
"Why? There is so much space from your side"
"Na, there is some garbage down here so .."
"Oh Okay"
They were there to attend a marriage.
Few clicks, thoughts shared and they were back in the car.
"You look beautiful", he praised
"I know, thank you"
"This pink color really suits you. I didn't know you can look so pretty in traditional not that you are not pretty."
"I know I know", she chuckled.
He was flirting and all praises that night.
She has been trying to be at her best behavior not to offend her dear friend of class five.

They were back in car now.
"See on the side of your door"
A bouquet of red roses.
"Will you marry me?"
"****** please. We have talked about this. You deserve better than me. You know where I stand ..."
"Don't go. I will get it all settled"
"It's not that easy. It's not my choice. I am just following what my heart and stars are asking me to. I may fail and scared for that but I don't have any other choice now. Am stuck at all levels"
"I don't want to listen to all this. You have the most beautiful eyes I have seen since fifth grade. Most pretty smile I remember from our childhood days and never did I try to hide this from you"
"I know and this is why I am with you at 2 in night. I trust you and more than that I respect your honesty. Never did I deny about us being together but never did anything strikes to me about this as a future"
"Trust me for once"
"I do but... "
"Don't go"
"I have to"

Acid Attack !

Scene 1

"I Love You"
"Shut up. Go away else I will complain to your father about it", she giggled and ran away.
Vikrant was madly in love with Shreya. Little did she know that love was growing into madness.
Many a times his love had been rejected by her. So was the reason for his anger to increase day by day.
Breaking things out of frustration and anger was becoming his everyday habit.

Scene 2

"I Told you not to let her arm go that day", said his one friend.
"Yes Bhai, true. You should make your point firm and clear that she has to think about you and no one else. You have to be strict with her as I heard that her parents are thinking of marrying her off with that Rajeev, son of that rich lala from the corner sweet shop", came the suggestion from another friend.
"No. I will never let that happen", Vikrant left the tea party in anger.

Scene 3

"Shreyaaaaaaa", shouted Neha.
And Neha fell unconscious on the ground.
She was taken to hospital by the fellow passengers on the bus.
(Neha and Shreya were going by bus to college. It was their first day after the semester break. Shreya was on the window seat and enjoying the outside scenic view when some bikers came from behind and aimed a bottle full of acid right on the window where Shreya's face was. It was a well planned attack well executed by them.

Scene 4

"Hmm.... But sir, I am really sorry. I think it's good for both families not to proceed any further. There can't be any possible relation between us. I am really sorry", and the receiver was put down.
Shreya's father had been trying very hard to get an alliance for his daughter but the acid attack was not an easy chapter to be forgotten.
"How shall I ever get her married", sighed her father.
Shreya was standing by the door, listening every word that was being spoken about her acid attack.
She was ashamed for her fate, she was ashamed of herself!

Scene 5

"Arre bhai..look bhabhi. And she is coming straight here only. Now is your time to show who is the man!", all his friends laughed. Vikrant was sitting in the college canteen when he saw Neha coming towards him.
She came and slapped him tightly. "This one is for all the tears that you given to me and my family" and she turned to go but Vikrant grabbed her by arm and forced her to sit in the car.
Neha had come alone to treat him with the slap and now she was regretting her decision.

Scene 6

"Vikrant weds Neha", the message read on the mobile phone of Neha's father.
Immediately after seeing this Neha's father dialled her number, "Hello", tears rolled down his cheeks after hearing her voice.
"Why are you marrying that damsel! Have you gone mad! Have you lost all of your senses now? You have no respect for yourself and your family? Did you ever thought about us before making such a decision? Do whatever you want to do. You are no longer family to us now!" and he cut the call.

Scene 7

"Hey...bhai you are a father now!", shouted his friends in the hospital corridor. It was indeed a proud moment for Vikrant. Neha had given him the proud moment of becoming a father. World's most precious moment was being enjoyed by her family and husband infornt of her eyes but she had some other plans in her mind.
"Five more years" and she fainted.
"Neha ... neha .. wake up", came Vikrant shouting. Slowly she opened her eyes.
"Thank God you are okay. I was so scared when you became unconscious. I love you Neha. I owe you for giving me such a beautiful daughter. I am sorry for all the troubles casted upon you and your family in the past. Please forgive me if possible. I shall always take care of you and our daughter.", Vikrant said in a sorry tone.

Scene 8

Vikrant was dumbstuck. How could this happen. We were so happy till yesterday. How can life take such sadist turn. Neha had committed suicide. She had left Nihika behind her. Their daughter turned five yesterday and today she ended her life. She had left a suicide note behind.
"You never loved me. All you loved was your growing ego in front of your friends which was respected more after you throwing acid on my face. My life had turned into hell when you came into it. An alive dead body had married you not  result of a sorry and jealous range of events. I now leave you with her to regret your life and decisions made in the past. It's time for you to have sleepless nights worrying about our daughter, protecting her from vicious eyes of rapists out there, protecting her from being kidnapped by the human traffickers and most of all protecting her face from hose hands which can throw acid on her face. Now you shall understand the pain I was in!

Acceptance.

They met.
Something was not right.
He read it in her movements from across the street.
It was bit dark to figure things out clearly but yes, something was not right!
She had just got down from the car or was pushed forcibly; he was still confused on that.
But who would throw away such a pretty girl? What would have gone wrong?

Before he could cross the road and get things cleared she was picked up by another car! She was picked or was she dragged into the car. Darkness of the night masked the events.

(Flashback)
They were together in high school and since then he had a huge crush on her but never had the courage to confront her with his feelings for her. After school, she left town to attend a prestigious college in the city being a bright student. He never loved anyone else after her.

Here he was. Standing in the middle of the road, confused about the recent happenings and eager to know whether everything was okay with Anusha or not.

Should I follow her? He gave it a long thought and then finally ignited the engine and moved his car around to catch hold of the other car carrying her.

He could see the back lights at far and the car seemed to be in great rush. He pushed the accelerator as hard as he can to get near the car and ensure her wellness but it was of no use. The other car was really in great rush. And then, after driving for some half an hour, the other car stopped and Anusha was thrown out.

Yes, she was thrown out with her clothes torn and hair all messed up. She was raped.
He got shock of a life! Girl he loved the most was raped! All the good memories of her flashed in-front of her and then he got out from his car.

She was trying to cover herself up with the leftover torn pieces of her dresses.
Like a gentleman, he walked up to her. Cover her body with his coat and hugged her, trying to calm her down. Her tears kept rolling down her cheeks. They got into his car. She was in no position to talk and neither was he.
They were in his car now and he was driving while she kept staring blankly outside the window. When the car stopped that’s when she noticed that he had brought her to his home. She was still in a state of shock when he went to reach out for her door and brought her inside his house.
“Who is she? What happened Dhruv? Answer me. Where were you? We are all so worried when you didn’t answer your phone”, her mother stumped a series of questions on him on seeing him with her.

“She’s your daughter-in-law mom”, saying so he took her to his room.

Real Fairy tale

It ain’t that easy”.

I know

Then why you still wanna pursue it

I just want to, because my heart says so

Hmm

The girl was not sure about the whole thing. Neither was the guy.

But he had guts to tell her about his feelings and he had the guts to reciprocate the same.

She appreciated the fact but had other thoughts.

If mom and dad won’t agree then I will be shattered and I will shatter a heart which loves me this much. It’s like a fairytale and it can’t be true. I am dreaming”, she pinched herself.

I am not asking for anything. Think about it with a cool mind. Think when you are free. Think when you want to think. No pressure. No hurry”, he completed it for her.

Only remember that I love you. I love you more than anyone can ever love you in this world. And the only thing that keeps my heart beating is my dream that we will be together one day.” And he disconnected the call.

There he was, holding his cell phone in one hand, texting her what his heart wanted to say to her to instill confidence in her about their relationship with a picture of hers in another hand and there she was, sitting by the window, watching rain falling down while her tears flowed down too.

They were madly in love with each other. The both knew it but were afraid of the consequences. Mature enough to think about everything but kid dish enough to hide it from each other. They had no platform to build their love home on but he had given her all the reasons to dream about having one such home.

Whole night she was restless on her bed and whole night he kept doing calculations for how uch they both had a chance together. They had it but they didn’t had it. They wanted it but they didn’t wanted it. It was all matter of time that they were now at this stage of dilemma.

And so goes the story.

They were together in school. Sarika and Vishal, standard 5th, classmates.

Silence !!!

Hmm….”, he murmured.
Okay…..a little here and a little there…..but will it be okay??”, he asked himself.
It was quiet difficult thing for him to come to a conclusion.
As making decisions was not his cup of tea.
With his girlfriend he had always been on the bad side of making decisions.
The decision to leave her taking the shield that he doesn’t feel the same intensity of love now like he used to feel earlier, was making him to suffer.
She surely loved him a lot.

The colors were flying.
Flowing out of the tubes…onto the canvas….Black….white….purple….red.
Colors make life….Life make colors.
His hands started drawing. Drawing something which even he didn’t know.
He was in good mood. Mood to paint and draw.
He allowed his soul’s freedom to mix with the essence of colors on the palette and the words of his thoughts, trying to come out from the jail of his mind.

Hands were moving.
Structure was being erected.
Confused what it was….he simply kept drawing.

What he liked was her beauty.
Internal…external.
Beautiful in all ways that a girl can be.
Body well built, face well suited.
Her hands moving on his face, fingers entangled in his hairs, he lying in her lap…he surely misses her.
Her crystal laugh, sweet smile…endless talks…and loads of love!!!
Life was life with her.
Meaning, value, spice, aim…everything was there with her to live.

But his irresponsible move made her go away.
He tried bringing her back but a lot late after it had been too late to apologize.
He tried marking her path, jotting her life, to get back to her, but she had closed all the doors.
She was hurt. Her respect was lost.
Her love for him was insulted.
He was her life and life without respect was a waste for her.

He was once again in love with her.
He was having the urge to go back to her again.
He was wanting to meet her, hold her in her arms, kiss her.
He wanted her back no.
He will talk to her, he made this as his first thing to do after his hands will finish their dance on the canvas.

Colors were still flowing in full co-ordination of his hands.
And this continued for hours.
He was not tired.
Not bored.
He wanted to finish the piece and then go and see his love.

And after few hours he did finish it
Startled to see the image….he was thrown back.
He almost fainted to the ground.
He sat In the corner of the room.
Dumbstruck.
Senseless.

What have I drawn?”, he thought in his mind and held hi head.
How is this even possible!!!”.
He had no idea.
Painting has just turned up-to his worst nightmare.

Memories flashes are always ecstatic.

His sense were gone.
No idea about what was going around….he went to pick up his cell phone.
Searched in the contacts for her.
Her name was still there with the name she had saved it with.
‘Love’.

He called and some guy answered.
Can I talk to Sarika?”, he somehow spoke.
She’s dead. She committed suicide this morning”, and the broken voice disconnected the call.

His soul was torn.
Torn into a million pieces.
Pieces that just couldn’t be brought together now.

No news of him for 2 days worried his neighbors.
They barged into his house to discover his body hanging from the roof fan, with a painting of a girl in similar manner in the background in complete Silence.

Good News Bad News !!!!!!

Tring Tring
Tring Tring
She hurried to answer the call.
Reason: It was him calling obviously.
"Hello".
"Hey.....", he seemed to be quiet happy and excited from his voice.
"So, tell me....somebody seems to have something good to tell me", and a lot many things started to churn her stomach with pain.
What could it be??
We visiting some good place??
Some good news regarding his home or job.
He’s getting her something??
What could it be??
A lot of thoughts flashed into her mind in those five second pause in their conversation.

He was giggling.
Tell me…what is it…”, she was more than curious to know what it could be.
Every second silence was killing her patience and increasing her curiosity to get the secret revealed.

When you make up some suspense, it’s really important as to how it’s revealed in combination with the atmosphere built up for the suspense to be a great success.
The curiosity of the listener should remain till the last word of the secret’s narration.

She stood their dumbstruck to hear the excited innocence for the craze of ShahRukh Khan.
ShahRukh Khan’s new movie trailer has released”, he shouted.
Go and watch it now on YouTube”, and he hung up on her.

Chapters.....

                               The Journey

Journey without a destination. Starts and ends. No one knows who controls it. No one knows how to control it. All you can do is watch and observe.
People come. People leave. Some leave prints. Some erase prints.

She was sitting by the window. Watching out the window was the daily scene. A little boy having fun with the candy his father had just got him. In another scene, a group of girls playing hop-scotch. They were happy on just being the winner of the petty game. Fathers were taking their children to market. Some were being taken back to home from market. Holding their hands, the contact was intact. Men were leaving for work, with the firm determination in their mind that they would return with joy for their families. Women were busy buying stuff for their families. They were sure that they will stir happiness in their kitchens for their husbands, for their children.

The world was happy. So was she.
She stood from her chair. Spent a minute or two watching the happy scene outside the window. It was raining but it was so quite inside. But she was blank. Blank like a blank notebook.
No thoughts.
No words.
She started towards the balcony. Opened the door and went outside.
The outside world was full with noises. The noises of happiness. The noises of joy.
And now the world was full of her shriek.
She had jumped off her balcony.

Lost !

"I would so love to wear a lehanga. I even had a plan to buy one but sadly couldn't", she sighed.

They were passing by some Suits, Saree's shops.
Embroidered with various shining stone pieces, they all looked like river of cloth flowing in the showpieces with different colored stones in that river. All the dummies wearing those beautiful pieces were going to be in her dreams now for the next few days.

Shop by shop they went .Glaring into the glasses. She was capturing every style, every color in her eye frames but He seemed a bit worried. Little lines on his forehead could tell that.

"Hey, look. This one is pretty na. I have heard that Chandni Chowk is paradise for such work lovers", she said, pointing at some of the sarees adoring the showcases of some shops.
Walking in those streets, as narrow as they could be, was fun. Away from all worries and tensions for sometime, the whole thing was simply beautiful .

Window shopping is fun when you don't have the urgency to buy something that's certainly not in your reach. You can just carry on and on and on, staring at the things you like, without paying a penny. And at the end, get bored, and move on to the next shop to do the same thing again ;)

The day was one of those memorable days that she would like to preserve forever and remember afterwards. Walking up the length of the market, with such a nice company. Eating all those delicious foods and paranthas, food having the real taste of India.

Trying things never done before. Away from the eyes of everybody, were these two souls, roaming around, chit-chatting in their own world about their own world, from stuff about first semester of college to their present day placement scenario. From their likes and dislikes about families to the stuff being sold in that market. From food to places, from market to college, everything was under their topic of discussion today.

That long walk in those long streets seemed nothing to her, but he still had that worried look in his face.

She was trying, trying her best to know what could be the reason behind his tensed expressions. But since they vanished every then and now, she thought maybe the crowd and the place was what made him get those lines of worries. Also asking him the reason, didn't seemed to be a good idea.

But thankfully, he himself revealed the whole mystery of tension!

"Err...Where are we? Will this road end at some place or not?", he said, like a baby! Lost in the market but given a responsibility of another person to take care, whom he simply couldn't afford to get lost with!
And there she giggled!

"Oh God! You were tensed about this thing!", she laughed.
"Arree, of course these streets will end somewhere na, and then we will find our way out. So what's the big deal!", she said smiling.

But the mister still had doubts about getting out of the network of those streets, hence he inquired at some two three places, as to where the road they were on, will lead them to! Everybody gave the same answers,"Yes, you will find an exit just after walking some more steps,", "Don't worry, there's an exit at the end of this road to the main market area", " Yes, the exit is just few steps ahead".

But the thing that really did brought his mind at peace was the sight of the road's end itself. Those narrow street did finally opened into the middle of the market and there he was relieved of all of his tensions and worries. Then she bought herself a novel, they had lunch at the paranthe waali gali, yummy food served in another narrow street, but not too long this time to bring tensions of getting lost again! ;)
